Why would you ride an Appaloosa?

That is a question I get frequently, especcially since most of my friends are Quarter Horse owners." Well" I tell them, "I look at it this way, I have freckles so my horses need to have freckles too."

This usually get a chuckle and satisfies thier great curiousity. 

I did not go looking for an Appaloosa horse, As a matter of fact, my first Appy kind of landed in my lap. After that, It just seamed that if there was an Appy for sale or needing a good home, it found it’s way into my yard. I later found out that my father used to ride a big Few Spot Appy gelding. So it must be a sign that he is still around and is trying to finish living his life through me.  Any way you look at it, My horses are of many colors and I love it.
