Fly'n CJ Ranch
Jacob's Git R Dun

No more empty stalls !!

After losing Tuff, Jim spent his
time riding Cndy and
schooling her for me.

Then we heard of some
yearling stud colts across
town, So you know  we had to
go take a look. Well, Jim fell
in love with the little Dun and
had to have him.

I think it was one of the
longest weeks I have to
endure in a long time. All Jim
could talk about was this little
colt.  "What are we going to
call him?" and
"What color will look best on
him?" Was the jist of most
of our conversations at home.
Finnally the day came when
we could go get him and bring
him home with us.

That in itself would be a bit of
a challenge. We brought his
shots with us to give to him,
He had his feet done, and the
check was written !!!!
Now all we had to do was load
him up!!! Yeah right, Well other
than being handled lightly and
halter broke our new little guy
sure didn’t understand what
the trailer was or how to
negotiate it. But with some
persuation from the back and
some green grass in front of
his nose, the 4 of us got him
loaded and away we went.
I think it was more traumatic
for me then for JD.

At the end of the day JD has
settled in well and I thought
he made a great addition to
our yard of colorful horses.

The only glitch was the since
he was still a stud, My Cindy
filly went nuts over him. OK so
NOW I have to endure another
long week of squeeling and
keeping JD and Cindy
seperated untill our Vet can
come out and geld him !!!!!

More Coming

Be sure to come back often and see what JD has been up to.

I Can Do This !!!!!

JD is such a good boy.
I spent only 15 minutes
with him on Trailer Loading.
Now he runs to get in.
Very different from the baby
we pushed into the trailer

JD and Jim

Here is Jim and JD working
on the Trail Obsticles. All of our
horses are introduced to anything
we could possably encounter out
on the trail or in a Trail Class.
